This is a bread lame, pronounced ‘Lahm’, a French word meaning ‘blade’. You use a bread lame to score or cut the dough before placing it in the oven. Scoring dough helps the bread expand evenly in the oven. You can even get creative with different scoring patterns!
The lame comes with 5 razor blades, which are easy to put onto the handle and replace when needed.
Please note this lame does come with a protective leather cover for safety when not in use (*as such, this product is not vegan).
