What's In the Kit:
2kg of High Protein Bread Flour - The wheat is grown and milled by South Australian farmers 'Flinders Ranges Premium Grain'. They have grown their own wheat for generations and the flour they produce has been recognised internationally for it's quality and consistency.
Dried Sourdough Starter - This is what makes sourdough, sourdough! The sourdough starter contains the wild yeast that produces bread with distinct sourdough flavours. As long as you keep feeding your starter it will live forever!
25cm Long Oval Rattan Bread Banneton - Used to proof your sourdough bread in. Allows your dough to breathe and will draw moisture from the surface of the dough, helping to give that extra crunch to your sourdough bread.
Danish Dough Whisk/Brodpisker - Specifically designed to incorporate the flour, water, sourdough starter and salt. Super fast and easy to use.
Bread Lame (pronounced ‘Lahm’, a French word meaning blade) - Tool used to score (cut) the dough before it goes into the oven, allowing it to expand. This lame does come with a protective leather-look cover for safety when not in use.
Dough/Bench Scraper - Used for getting all of your dough off the bench and shaping your loaf.
Instructions and Recipe - Printed instructions explaining how to activate your starter, as well as a recipe with detailed instructions. Plenty of useful video links as well.

Salt (we recommend using an unrefined quality sea or Pink Himalayan salt)
Dutch oven (used to create steam to help the bread rise. Without this you can still create steam in your oven by pouring boiling water in a hot tray at the bottom of your oven)
